Before we ever shoot, we start with an in-person consultation (in your home, at your office, or a coffee shop) so your session is built around what you actually need — not just what looks good on a screen.

For Families + Lifestyle (In-Home Design Consult):

  • Talk about who is being photographed and why now

  • Walk the rooms where you’d love to see artwork

  • Dial in your style: framed vs. canvas, clean vs. cozy, bold vs. neutral

  • Plan for specific spaces: over the sofa, up the stairs, hallway, bedroom, office

  • Leave with a clear plan for a statement piece, a gallery wall, an album, or a mix

For Brands (In-Person Brand Consult):

  • Clarify what your images must do: website, ads, socials, speaking, press

  • Align visuals to your vibe: clean + modern / warm + approachable / bold + luxury

  • Build a simple shot plan: hero images, product/service, behind-the-scenes, detail shots

  • Choose locations that match your brand story (office, studio, downtown, in-action)

I’m a photographer—and a lifelong observer of people.

Over the years, I’ve learned something that never changes: the images people keep forever aren’t the stiff, perfectly posed ones. They’re the real ones—the in-between moments. The laugh your kid can’t hold back. The way you soften when you’re with your people. The confidence that shows up when you’re doing work you actually love.

That’s exactly why I built Reko Ponton Photography—and why I don’t do “show up and hope.”

Whether we’re shooting in downtown Nashville, a quiet corner of Franklin, or somewhere with a little wind and a little sunset, you’ll walk away with images that feel bold, honest, and a little adventurous—without turning your session into a full-blown production.

What to expect while working together

  • Before your session

    We start with a call or an in-person meeting, on location, to get clear on what you’re creating—brand images, family portraits, headshots, or event coverage—and what “success” looks like for you.

    Then we plan like pros:

    Location + vibe (urban, nature, studio, or in-home—whatever fits your story)

    A simple shot plan so nothing important gets missed

    Wardrobe guidance that’s easy to follow (no overthinking, no Pinterest panic)

    If you’re doing a Lifestyle or Family session, we will do an In-Home Design Consult to plan artwork intentionally—so we’re photographing for the walls you actually want to fill.

  • During your session

    You’re never left guessing.

    I’ll guide you with clear direction and natural prompts so you look like yourselves—just elevated.

    We’ll keep it relaxed, move around, talk, laugh, and take breathers when needed

    If kids are involved, we work with their rhythm (because forcing it is how you get “hostage smiles”) Sometimes these make the best Video Snippets you’ll cherish for life.

    The goal is simple: you leave thinking “That was actually fun.” Not “We survived.”

  • After your session

    Within 48–72 hours,

    For Families, we’ll schedule an in-person meeting to discuss your home or office design needs so you can choose with with confidence—sizes, layouts, and placement. No guessing what works over the sofa or down the hallway. Then you’ll receive a curated digital gallery (No scrolling through hundreds of almost-the-same frames) so you can download images and video for your Socials.

    For Brands, you'll receive a curated proof gallery of the strongest images and some video for your socials, carefully selected, so you're not scrolling through hundreds of almost-the-same frames.

    From there, you’ll have a clear next step:

    Choose your delivery method and/or schedule your installation.

    In other words: you won’t end up with beautiful photos trapped in a folder.
    You’ll end up with images that live where your life happens.
